yelland-papps-shiraz Yelland & Papps “Second Take” Shiraz 2012
Barossa. 999/1506. 13.5% abv. Crushed 29/02/12. 15% whole bunch ferment. 16 days on skins, into barrel 19/03/12 for ten months. Out of barrel 14/01/13. 45% French oak (18% new), 55% American oak (4% new). In bottle 16/01/13. ph 3.56. TA 7.18. Screwcap. Red cherries, almost plums, but some stalk too. A refined palate. Juicy red fruits, currants, with a stalky edge. Fleshier than the BK Wines Syrah below, and less oak spicy dryness. Highly Recommended.
