Taylors Jaraman Riesling 2011

Taylors Jaraman Riesling 2011

This is a winery sample that must have slipped through the net, because it is unlikely to be the current release. My apologies. Oh, and now that I read the back label, I have discovered that it was sent October 2011. Blush. Anyway, moving on. A blend of Clare Valley and Eden Valley fruit. 12.0% abv. Screwcap. RRP $24.95. Straw in colour. Lemons on the nose, acidic brightness, some cut grass freshness, lanolin and minerals. Lemons on the palate too, with green fruits like a hard Packham pear and nicely integrated acidity. Good length, with a nice acid twang on the finish. Seems to be showing some aged characters, some broadness, or perhaps I am going insane. Drink now-2018. 89 points.
