I like half bottles of port as it will only take me 2 or 3 weeks to finish the bottle instead of a period of time that is measured in months.
Dry spirits on the nose, peat and raisins, smoky orange rind, quite spirity really. The palate is pure and delicately flavoured, raisins and dried currants bathed in wood spirit, faintly earthy and smoky, finishing with a pleasant roundness and just a bit of heat. Certainly not a style that will please everyone, but a pleasant diversion for me on the wine path.

I haven’t had this vintage of SWH, but I quite like their style. I have quite a few half bottles of port in the cellar, its a very handy size for port i think. But it would be lucky to survive for 2-3 hours at my place!
I have also had the ’88 a couple of times this year, and prefer this one.
94 is said to be an American vintage, no idea what that means but I’m assuming its more fruit forward and more cola
I like the 94 ports’s I’ve tried tho. You should get your hands on a bottle of Vale D. Maria VP 2005, magic stuff for drinking now or laying down.
