Seresin Sun & Moon Pinot 2008

I tried to buy this mailorder two years ago but they refused to ship to Australia . Subsequently I emailed the Australian importer & tried to ship it in a mixed case and he said ‘not interested’.
So two years later I made a dash late 2011 to trout fish & grabbed this cellar door- its had a 3 month rest in the cellar. I recall at cellar door they told me this is site specific as opposed to barrel selection.
Sappy kirsch, sour cherries, sois bois , pretty feminine earth on the nose with a long structured dare I say peacock tail.

Geez this is a decent wine

92-93
(memory tells me nz$80 )

It’s available here. Good wine too (I gave it 93 points too, amazingly).

“The fruit for this wine comes from the steep hill block of our clay rich hillside Raupo Creek vineyard in Marlborough’s Omaka Valley. Each vine is thinned to carry one bunch per shoot or less, or less than 1kg of fruit per vine. In the best vintages the best portions are selected to make the Sun and Moon Pinot Noir.”
