R Wines “Bitch” 2006

R Wines Bitch 2006

South Australia Grenache, according to the back label. Interestingly it also says

Bitch, bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch
bitch bitch bitch and bitch some more.

A ruby red, relatively light in colour really. A lifted nose, showing raspberry spices, redskins and small scoop of earth. The palate is dominated by confected raspberries and slippery alcohol, with a bit of spice and a glowing sweetness. It finishes with a small upper cut. There are no tannins to speak of – quite a good barbeque wine. Drink now.
