Peter Lehmann “Seven Surveys” Shiraz Mourvedre Grenache 2007

Peter Lehmann Seven Surveys Shiraz Mourvedre Grenache 2007

Okay I’m back on board now after an arthroscopy on my knee. Can you believe you cannot have alcohol for 24 hours after a general anathestic? I’m sure there must be a good reason. Anyway, the wine. A medium red in colour. Raspberry confection, sweet florals and clean earth. The palate showed raspberries and cherries, spices and quite a bit of sweetness. There is also an abrasiveness on the finish that will hopefully settle with from cellar time (but not too much I think) and a touch of heat too. A pleasant lunchtime BBQ wine.

MMmmmm, I had half a glass of Pinot Noir four hours after my last arthroscopy. Mind u it had the effect of about 3 glasses!!

Forgot to mention it was Beaujolais day yesterday, Thurs 20th of November and we had a lovely Chenas from Domaine Lapierre with dinner to celebrate.

  3. Lincoln says:

    Hi David,
    Who brings Lapierre in?

  4. David says:

I had it in my suitcase in October! Nobody I’ve spoke to are interested unless its some trendy new age already discovered person. Pity, the wine was really lovely.
