Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz 2004

Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz 2004

A drying nose with nutty oak, blackberries and whole white peppercorns. Some vanilla sidling in too. The palate is full to medium bodied, with explosive juicy red berries, plums and aromatic woody spices. No obvious cool climate characters. Leathery notes and milk chocolate at the end of the palate. Still quite youthful. Tasty. Was in the low $20s (I think). Drink 2014+. 89-91 points. Very much in the Penfolds style.
