Odds & Ends XX

Only a couple of weeks since the last O&E, but there you go:

  • Craiglee Shiraz 2008: wasn’t as impressed as previously. Big fruited, and not showing any of the cooler climate characters that I liked
  • Tulloch Petit Verdot 2010: okay
  • Traversa Stardari Barbaresco 2007: okay
  • Ruggabellus Fluus 2011: a bit simple
  • Jean-Philippe FichetBourgogne Blanc VV 2007: quite ripe but okay
  • Domaine David Clark Cote de Nuit Villages 2008: a very nice cheapie. Time in the bottle has been fruitful
  • Meerea Park Indie Shiraz Pinot 2010: very nice too. Need to write a note on the next bottle
  • Wickhams Road Gippsland Chardonnay 2010: tasty
  • Teusner The Independent Shiraz Mataro 2008: too big for me. Bleeding gums again!
  • Hillcrest Estate Pinot Noir 2008: oh a poor bottle, too stalky
  • Jean-Marc Burgaud Beaujolais Morgon Cote de Py 2008: okay
  • Tulloch Sangiovese 2010: okay
  • Burge Family The Homestead Cabernet Sauvignon 2005: okay
  • Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Cazetiers” 1er cru 2008: badly corked (sorry Nev!)
  • Ashton Hills Estate Pinot Noir 2009: oh I really liked this bottle. Interesting. Nice fruits and some stalk and mulch and stuff. Who says screwcap is a consistent seal? 😉
  • A. et P. de Villaine Rully Blanc “Les St. Jacques” 2009: great nose. Super tasty stuff, and relatively cheap too.
