Morrocan Sunday

Heggies reserve chardonnay 2008
The regular is great value but this is structure reminscent of the recent Mt Adam chardonnay- Eden valley.
Linear matchsticky long pure- I reckon some makers in Australia are finally coming up with the goods.

Coche Dury mersault 2008
When we travel in france & see any Coche on the wine list we buy- power – iron fist in a velvet glove kinda stuff- big but only 12.5% -rich- but not overdone-long- but not oaky.
Like it

Vogue bonnes Marres 2001
Pretty perfumed fine tannins – less like the Bastard Uncle now- more the Affable Uncle

Leroy Gevrey 1er fonteny
Coiled be 99s- palate is bigger than the nose- long fruit tannin finish- pretty but powerful

Roumier Morey St Denis 1er clos de la bussiere
My first 2009- primary fruit driven – to young to really assess-I get the feeling this will be a ripe juicy vintage- a crowd pleaser- I trust the very good makers will have a deft touch.
This wine is brilliant though- i like all Roumier wines
Morrocan Sunday because we made a banquet with friends and this light spiced fruit matches burgundy.
