Michel Lafarge Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2005

Michel Lafarge Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2005

Originally reviewed over 3 years ago here, and I had as a drinking window 2009-2012. Well, in the spirit of ignoring my own advice I’ve kept a bottle longer and now it’s been opened to see how it was going. Still a good red in colour. Minerals and red fruits, and a whiff of mushroom compost and something really odd that I cannot describe. Still quite a dryish palate. Doesn’t seem rustic as I previously said, in fact, there is some elegance. With time, high toned red fruits and a dry length. Quite pleasant. Drink now, and I mean it this time!
