Meerea Park Alexander Munro Shiraz 2006

Meerea Park Alexander Munro Shiraz 2006

An engaging nose, a nose promising a great bottle of wine. Blackberries, tar, warm spices, mocha, vanilla and warm earth. The palate is soft, with blackberries and nuts, earthy and savoury, softly textured with tannins that are almost liquid. Full flavoured and terrifyingly easy to drink. Seems quite forward and approachable at the moment, but should also cellar well.

Just picked mine up yesterday at Boutique Wine Cellars. Very accommodating: Garth had put them aside there for me to pick up on the way through.
    Lovely folk to deal with.

I haven’t bought mine yet… am experiencing the usual problems with the old credit card…
