Domaine Pontifical Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2005

Domaine Pontifical Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2005

Red fruits, Provencal herbs, a bit of pepper and merde de ferme. The palate is quite dry, with raspberries, red cherries, dried herbs, dry leather, a bit of plums, and a fair lick of dry stones. Medium to lightly bodied, with reasonable length and a shake of pepper on the finish. A decant quaffer in quality, but certainly does not contain sufficient oomph for the appellation.
