Chateau du Bluizard Brouilly Grand Cuvee 2001

Chateau du Bluizard Brouilly Grand Cuvee 2001

A big nose, leathered red cherries, barky spices, earth, mushroom compost, a bit of cream, quite rich really. The palate is full, red cherries, somewhat liqueured, with minerals and tangy cherries on the finish. Full flavoured, sweet fruits with some savouriness, smooth, impressive for the price. Not your standard Beaujolais. Drink now with a decant or cellar for 3-4 more years, maybe more.
