Château Charmail Haut-Médoc 2005

Another Cabernet. This one was definitely more appealing than the last. Black fruits, earth, graphite and tobacco leaf. A bit of compost too. Big deep flavours on the palate, showing both black minerals and red fruits. Almost heavy. Unattractive finish though, somewhat raspy and harsh; it loses marks for that. 13.0% abv. Sealed under cork. 87 points.
