Ballewindi Pinot Noir 2012

Ballewindi Pinot Noir 2012

13.5% abv. Screwcap. From the Mornington Peninsula. Made by Sandro Mosele; he seems to make a lot of Pinot in Victoria. Oh, a nice nose, lots of interest: red cherries, red currants, a bit of rhubarb and stalk, marzipan. The palate is more straight-forward, and perhaps a little simple; quite confected palate and rounded, plump cherries, strawberries, stalk and dry wood. A pleasant quaffer. Drink 2013-2016. 87 points.
